
At Grace Cook Primary School and Nursery, our school uniform requirements are:
For Every Day:

- Jade green school logo sweatshirt or cardigan (not worn around the waist)
- Grey school trousers (not leggings or cropped trousers), shorts (knee length), skirt (knee length) or pinafore dress
- Navy blue polo shirt with the Grace Cook logo
- Green gingham dress, playsuit, shorts or culottes
- Plain grey or white socks
- White, or grey tights
- Black, flat, sensible shoes only
- Weatherproof coat

For PE:
|
- Black shorts
- Jade green t – shirt with Grace Cook logo
- Trainers
- Plain navy jogging bottoms and a plain navy jogging top or navy school logo hoody
- Plain white or grey socks
|
For Swimming: (KS2)
|
- Swimming suit (one piece not bikini) or close fitting swimming trunks
- Swimming cap
|
Other requirements:
|
- School logo book bag (Early Years, Year 1 and Year 2 and only one key ring should be attached)
- Spare socks and underwear (if required)
- Long hair should be at least half tied up. Hair items to be school colours (green)
- No fashion items or claw grips.
- We have adopted the Halo Code to embrace all Afro-hairstyles including, but not limited to afros, locs, twists, braids, cornrows
- Sun hat (in warmer weather)
- Rucksacks (KS2 only) should not be too large
- Water bottles should follow the following guidelines: No Air Up or branded bottles e.g. Prime bottles,
(No bottles greater than 1 Litre, No bottles with big holes to sip from (twisted lid bottles), No metal bottles due to noise when dropped e.g. Chilli bottles, No exposed straw cups e.g. Stanley cups or dupes. To help with some suggestions as to what you might consider, Sistema bottles are great. They are easy to use, don’t leak and are the perfect size for children.)

Please NO:
|
- Jewellery - except for single, plain gold or silver ear studs (must be removed before PE)
- Extreme haircuts e.g. ‘skinhead’ or ‘mohican’ (patterns or lines should not be cut into the hair)
- Make Up (including nail varnish, mascara or temporary tattoos etc)
- No fashion clothing e.g. leather, denim or camouflage jackets
- No boots, high heels, trainers or slip on shoes
- No toys/soft toys etc should not be sent into school with children, unless as part of a prearranged strategy with their class teacher or SENCo to support additional needs.
- No fidgets/fiddle toys/chewies should be brought in from home unless pre-agreed with the class teacher or SENCo and should be school allocated ones.
